During the COVID19 isolation period we have arranged to temporarily offer you access from home to our most popular online databases that are usually only licenced for use within library premises, more specifically Ancestry.com and FindmyPast.co.uk! These are only available to registered library members who have logged in here to their account on Wakefield Libraries catalogue, please do not share these login details to non-library members.
Find my Past:
Find my Past Users will not be able to log into their personal FindMyPast account to use the library subscription as they normally would via in-library IP address recognition. For privacy reasons please do not upload or update your own family trees on this login or they will be visible to everyone else. FindMyPast have imposed a fair usage cap of 5000 documents per month on this account which resets on the first day of every month. Should you have difficulty accessing the resource toward the end of a month this could be the reason, our apologies for any inconvenience, this factor is beyond Wakefield Libraries’ control.
Ancestry:
When logged into your Wakefield Library account, the details for Ancestry will be shown below.
